The Chamber of Deputies has adopted, The President of the Republic promulgates the constitutional law worded as follows:
Article 1 The text of Article 73 of the Constitution is amended as follows: At least one month and at most six months before the expiry of the powers of the President of the Republic, the Chamber convenes following a convocation by its Speaker, for the election of a new President.
In default of a convocation, the meeting shall be held as of right the tenth day before the end of the President's term of office. The period of enforcement of the present amendment shall end on 23/9/76.
Article 2 The present law shall come into force as soon as it is signed by the President of the Republic.
