According to the Administrative Measures for the Import of Drugs and the Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China for the Supervision of the Import of Exhibits, and in order to facilitate the import of exhibition drugs and regulate the port administration, we hereby circulate an announcement on the relevant matters regarding the import of exhibition drugs as follows:
I. The "exhibition drugs" as mentioned in this Announcement refers to the drugs that are exhibited or demonstrated in the exhibitions, technical seminars or similar activities.
II. If the exhibition drugs are the goods whose temporary import has been approved by the customs house, no import archival filing formalities or port inspection needs to be conducted for the import of such drugs.
III. With respect to the exhibition drugs that are abandoned upon declaration of the consignee, the customs house shall, upon verification, transfer them to the local drug supervisory and regulatory department for surveillance and destruction, and the relevant expenses incurred therefrom shall be borne by the consignee.
IV. Other matters and requirements shall be handled according to the Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China for the Supervision of the Import of Exhibits and other relevant laws and regulations.
