I. Article 28 shall be amended as: China National Tourism Administration shall organize to establish the national committee for assessing and appraising the grades of tour guides, which shall be responsible for the organization and implementation of the work relating to the assessment and appraisal of the grades of tour guides of the whole country.
The tourism administrative departments of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and the Sinkiang Production and Construction Corps shall organize to establish the offices for assessing and appraising the grades of tour guides, which shall carry out the corresponding work under the authorization and guidance of the national committee for assessing and appraising the grades of tour guides.
II. Article 29 shall be amended as: a tour guide who takes part in a skill contest of tour guides as organized by an entity at or above the provincial or ministerial level and wins the best position in the contest may be promoted for one level of tour guide after it is reported to and approved by the national committee for assessing and appraising the grades of tour guides. A person who has been rewarded for several times can only be promoted for once, and the highest level for the promotion shall be the high level.
