Your Request on the Examination and Approval of the Catalogue of Priority Industries for Foreign Investment in the Central-Western Regions (2004 Revision) (No.789 [2004] of the Foreign Investment Department of the National Development and Reform Commission) has been received. We hereby give reply as follows:

We agree to abolish the Catalogue of Priority Industries for Foreign Investment in the Central-Western Regions, which was approved by the State Council in June, 2000, and jointly promulgated by the former State Economic and Trade Commission, the former State Planning Commission and the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. Your newly formulated Catalogue of Priority Industries for Foreign Investment in the Central-Western Regions shall be implemented 30 days as of its promulgation. In order to ensure the linkup of the work, the former Catalogue shall cease to be executed from the date when the new Catalogue of Priority Industries for Foreign Investment in the Central-Western Regions is implemented.
