	DECISION OF THE MINISTRY OF CONSTRUCTION ON AMENDING THE PROVISIONS FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF WATER QUALITY IN URBAN WATER SUPPLY

	(Order of the Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic of China (No. 132), July 23, 2004: The Decision of the Ministry of Construction on Amending the Provisions for the Administration of Water Quality in Urban Water Supply, which was discussed and adopted at the 41st executive meeting of the Ministry of Construction on July 13, 2004, is hereby promulgated, and shall come into force on the date of promulgation.)

The Ministry of Construction decides to make the following amendments to the Provisions for the Administration of Water Quality in Urban Water Supply (Order No. 67 of the Ministry of Construction):

I. Article 20 is amended as: "An entity engaging in the cleaning and disinfection of facilities of urban secondary water supply must not undertake the cleaning and disinfection work until it has obtained a permit from the health administrative department of the municipal people's government. An entity engaging in the cleaning and disinfection of facilities of urban secondary water supply shall, within 15 days as of obtaining the permit, submit a photocopy of the permit to the municipal construction administrative department for archival filing."

II. Item (5) of Article 23 is deleted.

In addition, the sequence of some clauses is adjusted accordingly.

This Decision shall come into force on the date of promulgation. The Provisions for the Administration of Water Quality in Urban Water Supply shall be amended in accordance with this Decision, and shall be promulgated once again.
