According to the requirements of the Letter on Submitted Consolidated Ministerial Rules and Other Policies and Measures That Suit China's Accession to the World Trade Organization (Letter No.196 [2002]) of the Legal Affairs Office of the State Council, the consolidation of the relevant ministerial rules and other policies and measures of the present Ministry that involve the WTO is hereby reported as follows: In order to meet the needs of China's accession to the WTO and pursuant to the unified arrangement and requirements of your Office and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, this Ministry has, for the recent two years, carefully consolidated the relevant ministerial rules and other policies and measures involving the WTO, and actively modified and abolished the relevant documents. After the consolidation, there are altogether 28 regulations and other policies and measures that are to be modified or abolished by the present Ministry or mainly by the present Ministry. Up to now, 14 documents have been modified or abolished as expected (among which 5 have been modified and 9 have been abolished), the modification or abolishment of other 14 documents is still under progress.
