Upon approval of the State Council, imported anti-AIDS drugs will be exempted from import tariff and import value-added tax from January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2006. See the List of Imported Anti-AIDS Drugs (attachment 1) and the 5-Year Quota for Tax-free Imported Anti-AIDS Drugs (see attachment 2) for the list of the specific tax-free drugs and amount. The customs shall process the formalities for tax exemption on the basis of the relevant certifications for imported anti-AIDS drugs issued by the Ministry of Public Health.
