On May 11, 2006, this Commission issued a Decision on Restricting the Businesses of United Securities Co., Ltd. (No. 85 [2006] of China Securities Regulatory Commission), which provides that the measures for restricting the businesses of United Securities Co., Ltd. would be taken as of May 15, 2006, including the suspension of recommendation and underwriting businesses, suspension of business of opening securities accounts on a commissioned basis, suspension of carrying out new businesses, suspension of increase and acquisition of business branches and suspension of move and transfer of business branches.
Considering that United Securities Co., Ltd. has replenished the full amount of shortage of settlement fund for the client transactions, in accordance with Article 150 of the Securities Law, this Commission decides to lift the aforesaid restrictions on the businesses of United Securities Co., Ltd. as of July 21, 2006.
