With regard to the protection of computer software copyright, Taiwan residents shall have the same rights and undertake the same obligations as the residents of the Mainland of China in accordance with state laws, and may apply to software registration administrative organs for registration of the computer software developed by them. We hereby make the following announcement:
I. The application documents for software copyright submitted by Taiwan residents to software registration administrative organs shall not have the characters of "Republic of China", and its flag or emblem.
II. When a Taiwan resident applies for registration of software copyright, he may handle it by entrusting an institution as his agent.
III. Taiwan residents may handle copyright registration on the software that is issued before the promulgation of the Regulation on the Protection of Computer Software and has not entered into public domain within one year after the promulgation of the present Provisions.
IV. The present Provisions shall be applicable to the companies, enterprises, or other organizations in Taiwan Region.
