	MEASURES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION RULES FOR THE PATENT LAW MODIFIED ON DECEMBER 28, 2002

	(Order of the Director of the State Intellectual Property Office (No.26 [2003]), January 10, 2003: For the purpose of executing the Decision of the State Council on Modifying the Implementation Rules for the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China promulgated by Order No. 368 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the Application Measures for the Implementation Rules for the Patent Law Modified on December 28, 2002, are enacted and are hereby promulgated. The present Measures shall be implemented as of February 1, 2003)

Any international application designated to China that expires, after a period of 20 months starting from priority date, on February 1, 2003, or thereafter, and of which the applicant has not finished the formalities for entering China at that time, shall be governed by Articles 101 and 108 of the Implementation Rules for the Patent Law modified on December 28, 2002.
