	NOTICE FOR FOREIGN NEWS AGENCIES PERMANENTLY STATIONED IN CHINA TO APPLY FOR THE ORGANIZATIONAL CODE CERTIFICATE OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

In order to strengthen the administration of foreign news agencies permanently stationed in China, guarantee the entirety and accuracy of the basic information of the foreign news agencies permanently stationed in China and the unity of entity marks, we have decided after deliberation to, in accordance with relevant provisions in the "Regulation for the Administration of Foreign Correspondents and Foreign News Agencies Permanently Stationed in China", etc., carry out the registration of the codes of foreign news agencies permanently stationed in China, and hereby give our notice as follows regarding relevant matters:

I. SCOPE OF ALLOCATION OF CODES

All foreign news agencies permanently stationed in China, which were registered at the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with the "Regulation for the Administration of Foreign Correspondents and Foreign News Agencies Permanently Stationed in China", and have obtained the "Certificate of Foreign News Agency Stationed in China".

II. METHODS OF ALLOCATION OF CODES

(1) China National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations shall be the only institution to allocate codes and issue certificates to foreign news agencies permanently stationed in China. The quality and technology supervision departments in all regions shall, when meeting with this kind of affairs, timely submit them to China National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations for unified handling.

(2) A foreign news agency permanently stationed in China shall bring its "Certificate of the Foreign News Agency Stationed in China" to China National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations to fill out the "Application Form for Organizational Code Certificate of the People's Republic of China", and apply for the organizational code certificate of the People's Republic of China. China National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations shall, after verification, allocate the code and issue a code certificate.

(3) The organizational type of the code certificate obtained by a foreign news agency permanently stationed in China shall be "Others".

(4) When a foreign news agency permanently stationed in China is revoked, merged or changed, it shall timely apply to China National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations for modification registration.

III. ADMINISTRATION MECHANISM

China National Administration for Code Allocation to Organizations shall, jointly with the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, set up a long-term stable contact and circular mechanism, timely coordinate in the matters of allocating codes and issuing certificates to foreign news agencies permanently stationed in China, strengthen data checking, and guarantee the unity, timeliness and integrity of application of organizational code information by the application departments.
