At the 13th Session of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress, it is decided to ratify the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, which was signed by our government on August 24, 1999, and simultaneously to state that Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade doesn't apply to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for the time being unless the government of the People's Republic of China makes an otherwise different announcement.
