We have received your Request on Application for Tax Exemption of Representative Offices of Foreign Enterprises as Non-profit Agents (No. 184 [2004] of the Beijing Local Taxation Bureau). According to prevailing tax laws and the Notice of State Administration of Taxation on Strengthening the Tax Management to Representative Offices of Foreign Enterprises (No.165 [1996] of the State Administration of Taxation), we approve, after verification, to exempt the following 33 permanent representative offices of foreign enterprises from enterprise income tax and business tax.
